How to Apply
Application for admission is accepted annually between July 1st and February 28th for fall enrollment.
Required Materials
Completion of all Prerequisite Materials >
Completion of the Optometry Centralized OptomCAS Application >
Applicants who apply through OptomCAS submit a completed web-based application comprised
of biographical data, colleges and universities attended, academic course history,
recommendations, work experience, extracurricular activities, honors, and a personal
essay.
It may take 4-6 weeks after submission for the OptomCAS application to be verified;
therefore, the OptomCAS application should be submitted before February's deadline.
Along with your OptomCAS application Applicants are required to complete the OD Supplemental Application.
Letters of Recommendation Information
Completion of required entrance exam scores
The College of Optometry requires submission of entrance exam scores and strongly
prefers the Optometry Admission Test (OAT). MCAT, PCAT, DAT, and GRE scores are also acceptable.
Completion and Successfully passing a Criminal Background Check.
